IRVINE , California ( Sep 20, 2004 ) :
Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc. (TABS) today introduced the newest member of its workgroup color printer line - the e-STUDIO™180CP color printer, providing fast output speeds and processing at an affordable price. Producing eight full-color pages-per-minute (PPM) and 30 PPM in monochrome, the e-STUDIO180CP offers standard network printing and a compact footprint making it ideal for general business applications such as charts, graphs and presentation materials.
"The new e-STUDIO180CP is a great fit for mid-sized offices in corporate America," said Steve Rhorer, director, Product Marketing for TABS. "It offers quick color and black-and-white printing that’s easy to use, offered at a price that makes sense for workgroups that may be new to the use of everyday color."
Print Fast, Print More, Print Better
The desktop e-STUDIO180CP is driven by a 500 MHz processor, generating first page out times of 13 seconds in monochrome and 19 seconds in color. In addition, its 600 x 600 dpi print engine features a monthly duty cycle of up to 35,000 pages. With its 2,400 dpi Image Quality mode, the e-STUDIO180CP uses advanced halftone-screening methods with automatic color correction for clean, sharp text and bright, vivid colors and dramatically improved quality over standard 600 dpi output.
Users of the e-STUDIO180CP can print on media up to 90-pound index, including plain paper, transparencies, paper labels, envelopes and card stock. The new color printer comes standard with a 250 sheet letter-sized drawer and also offers a 530 sheet letter-sized drawer, a 250 sheet legal-sized tray and a duplex unit as options.
Long Life Consumables and Ease-of-Use
Long life consumables such as 10K page black toner and 6.6K color toner yields mean users of the e-STUDIO180CP don’t have to worry about constantly replacing supplies. The color printer also features a Toner Saver and Color Saver feature that reduces the amount of toner required to print - further reducing the cost of operation by extending the life of toner supplies. The e-STUDIO180CP comes standard with 1.5K yield cartridges.
The e-STUDIO180CP offers the added convenience of front-loading cartridges and top-loading supplies that make maintenance and operation easier than ever - reducing down time and increasing office productivity.
The network-ready e-STUDIO180CP is built standard with an Ethernet and USB 2.0 connection, and a wireless 802.11b option also is available for mobile office users. The e-STUDIO180CP is compatible with all major network operating systems including Windows 98 SE, NT4.0, 2000, ME, XP, Server 2003, Novell Netwear 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x and Mac OS X and is available through Toshiba’s nationwide network of dealers for the suggested list price of $999 (USD).
