Name Change Final Step in Alliance With Toshiba Business Solutions

In a demonstration of strength and unity, Toshiba Business Solutions (TBS) today announced that Rochester, New York-headquartered Business Methods will officially change its name to TBS/New York (TBS-NY). The name change is the final step in aligning Business Methods with TBS following the company’s acquisition one year ago in February 2004.
Since acquiring Business Methods, TBS also has acquired New York-based Northern Business Systems and Becker Business Systems. Each dealership was merged with Business Methods and managed under the direction of Steven Sauer, president of Business Methods. The combined companies, as a whole, will now be named TBS-NY.
"The process of becoming a TBS company began a year ago when we chose to align ourselves with Toshiba, one of the industry’s top business machine manufacturers," said Steven Sauer, president of TBS/NY. "Since that time, our customers and employees have benefited from Toshiba’s strength and support. Changing our name to more closely align our company was the natural next step."
TBS recently announced its 33rd dealer acquisition since creating its business expansion plan of increasing market share and through the acquisition of large independent dealers in the leading U.S. markets.
"The transition of bringing Business Methods, Northern Business Systems and Becker Business Systems into the Toshiba family has been quite smooth," said Wayne Wilkinson, vice president of TBS. "The name change to TBS-NY is the final step that will unify these three companies into a single unit, and at the same time will strengthen the Toshiba name in the greater New York area."
