e-STUDIO™230 MFP Awarded Top Honors for Outstanding Reliability, Impressive Capabilities

IRVINE , California   ( Jul 26, 2005 ) :

Toshiba America Business Solutions Inc. (TABS) today announced that its e-STUDIO™230 MFP has received a Spring 2005 "Pick of the Year" award from Buyers Laboratory Inc. (BLI), a leading independent office equipment testing laboratory. The e-STUDIO230 received the award in the Segment 2 Multifunctional Imaging System category.

“The Toshiba e-STUDIO230 was chosen not only for its outstanding reliability in BLI’s rigorous two-month lab evaluation, but also for the very impressive capabilities it brings to Segment 2, thanks to its robust e-Bridge controller,” said Pete Emory, manager of Lab Testing for BLI.

“We are proud that the e-STUDIO230 was named ‘Pick of the Year’ by BLI,” said Mark Mathews, vice president, Marketing at TABS. “Awards such as this from respected testing labs like BLI give our customers the extra vote of confidence that lets them know they are making a sound purchasing decision when they choose a Toshiba product.”

Other comments about the e-STUDIO 230 made by BLI include:

  • “BLI test technicians were also impressed by the highly automated procedures for network setup afforded by the controller, which made installation onto workstations a quick and simple process. Both PCL6 and PostScript 3 drivers are included with the controller and were very easy to use.”
  • “The unit’s large, well-designed control panel, which can be tilted to various angles up to 45 degrees, contributing to Section 508 compliance, is well-labeled, easy to read and enables intuitive programming.”

The full-featured and affordable e-STUDIO230 offers copy, print, scan and fax functionality for small and mid-sized workgroups. The maximum monthly duty cycle for the system is 74,000 pages, with print and copy speeds of 23 CPM/PPM (copies-per-minute, prints-per-minute). The system boasts seamless document workflow through e-Bridge architecture, as well as ease of use features such as its touch screen control panel.

The e-STUDIO230 comes standard with two 550-sheet paper cassettes, trayless duplexing and a 100-sheet stack feed bypass to accommodate special and heavier stock papers and envelopes. Additional finishing options include single position stapling and multiple position stapling with the optional saddle-stitch finisher (which includes a hole punch option).
