Toshiba will be showcasing the following new products in the booth:

e-STUDIO850

The Toshiba e-STUDIO850 multifunction product (MFP) is designed to offer exceptional image quality, enhanced security and robust paper handling features while maintaining complete ease-of-use. The e-STUDIO850 boasts a print speed of 85 pages-per-minute (ppm), 2,400 x 600 dpi, a dual laser-beam design and a first-copy-out-time (FCOT) of less than 3.5 seconds. The unit will scan at 71 scans-per-minute at 600 dpi when copying, and 83 scans-per-minute at 300 dpi when scanning to file. The system also features Toshiba's new eight-bit scanner, which significantly improves the appearance of grayscale output and ensures scanned images are clear when viewed on computer monitors.

Created as one of the most secure MFPs on the market today, the e-STUDIO850 offers several security features, including 1,000 Department Codes with 6-digit numeric passwords to prevent unauthorized access; 10,000 user codes that allow businesses to provide role-based access with 10-digit alphanumeric passwords; and authentication features that prevent unauthorized document sending for scan-to-email users. In addition, the Disk Data Overwrite option will write over data on the HDD. The e-STUDIO850, along with the other three systems in the series, the e-STUDIO520/600/720, will be available beginning June 15 through Toshiba's nationwide network of dealers.

e-STUDIO3100c

The e-STUDIO3100c is a full-color copier, printer and scanner that combines high speed, superior image quality and impressive reliability in one multifunctional network system. Featuring a complete array of cost-saving features and performance enhancements that reduce the cost of maintenance and increase productivity, the e-STUDIO3100c is ideal for a wide variety of users. To reduce total cost of ownership, TABS has included full-color output control, allowing administrators to supervise usage and manage accounts.

The e-STUDIO3100c can achieve both color and monochrome print and copy speeds of 31 ppm. Additionally, the system offers 600 x 600 dpi resolution. The e-STUDIO3100c will be available beginning in June through Toshiba's nationwide network of dealers.

e-STUDIO451c

The e-STUDIO451c color MFP offers complete integration of copy, print, fax and scan capabilities, and features a fast 600 MHz processor, a memory capacity of up to 768 MB, second generation e-Bridge architecture and advanced security. In addition, front access to the transfer belt and drum unit reduces machine downtime during routine maintenance, allowing for easy serviceability.

The e-STUDIO451c produces a brisk rate of 45 monochrome printed or copied ppm with a superior black-and-white printing resolution of 2,400 dpi x 600 dpi for crisp output of fine detail. Color documents are produced at a rate of 11 ppm with a high-quality matte color finish that is easier to write on with a ballpoint pen. Using Toshiba's unique fusing technology, the e-STUDIO451c also delivers a FCOT of a mere 6.8 seconds for monochrome and just 16.2 seconds for color, with a quick 40-second warm-up time. The e-STUDIO451c will be available in August through Toshiba's nationwide network of dealers.

eCopy ScanStation

TABS, as part of the eCopy Ready Manufacturers Program, provides its e-STUDIO digital copier users with the option to use eCopy's Open Platform software, which integrates with more than 20 enterprise software applications, including EMC Documentum Enterprise Content Management Platform, Captaris RightFax and Microsoft Outlook. eCopy software transforms TABS' e-STUDIO digital copiers into comprehensive paper management solutions. In addition to copying, printing, scanning and faxing, e-STUDIO users can easily scan documents directly to their enterprise content management (ECM) systems, Fax server or e-mail system for more efficient business processes and improved document security. The eCopy ScanStation will be available through Toshiba's nationwide network of dealers beginning June 15.

Toshiba Solutions

TABS also will be demonstrating a variety of solutions designed to enhance Toshiba's e-STUDIO systems by offering powerful software applications and targeted business process improvements to enable more effective distribution, management and organization of documents. TABS will showcase the following software applications at the show:

  • DocForm, a powerful and easy-to-use software tool for the design, dynamic creation and real-time delivery of electronic documents, forms, and reports, including the ability to capture signatures written on a digital signature pad into DocForm templates.

  • EFI Digital StoreFront, software that extends a print center with a full-featured and interactive Internet presence. Beginning with simple yet sophisticated job submission, customers are able to use a PDF print driver coupled with a Web browser to specify, proof, approve and deliver files and print ticket information directly into the print center's workflow.

  • Print Audit 5, software that features tracking on more than 20 pieces of information for each print job. This data may be used to analyze volumes and workflow patterns to uncover inefficiencies. In addition, Print Audit 5 can reduce costs by redirecting print jobs to the most efficient device. Organizations can also use Print Audit 5 to recover printing and copying costs from their clients or users through an interface that allows them to enter billing information.

  • Questys Pro Document Management, a system that allows users to scan paper documents and import electronic files, including e-mail, and archive the information in electronic format. Users can then search and retrieve everything and print, fax or e-mail the results.

  • Toshiba ReRite™, software that converts scans or faxes into searchable file formats that can be sent to a network drive, e-mail or both.

In addition to the variety of software solutions, TABS will be showing the Toshiba Encompass™ program. Toshiba's Encompass™ five-step analytical program assesses a company's document management infrastructure and identifies inefficiencies. The resulting analysis allows the company to realize a cost-savings through the creation of an efficient and effective fleet of new and existing equipment.
