Color MFP Series Earns “Highly Recommended” Rating From BERTL
IRVINE , California ( Oct 25, 2005 ) :
Toshiba America Business Solutions Inc. (TABS) today announced that its e-STUDIO™2100c and e-STUDIO3100c color multifunction products each have received a 4-Star Award from Business Equipment Research and Test Laboratories (BERTL™). The prestigious awards also come with BERTL’s “Highly Recommended” rating, which is strictly reserved for those devices that deliver a range of business-critical features and functions that are above average and provide potential buyers with a good return on investment.
“We are honored to be recognized with these two 4-Star Awards from BERTL,” said Steve Rhorer, vice president, Marketing, TABS. “We strive to introduce products that exceed our customers’ expectations and this award demonstrates that we have achieved that goal with the e-STUDIO2100c/3100c series.”
BERTL, one of the leading independent test labs, publishes product evaluation reviews on several hundred copiers, printers, fax, multifunctional, color and production devices every year. Out of these hundreds of devices, only a small number qualify for the highly prestigious 4-Star Award. In May, BERTL also awarded the e-STUDIO2100c/3100c series with a BERTL’s Best Award in the category of Best Low-Volume CRD/Commercial Color Range.
“BERTL has continued to be impressed by the product enhancements Toshiba has introduced within each new generation of product, and the e-STUDIO2100c/3100c series is no exception,” said Elizabeth McNichol, vice president of Corporate Relations for BERTL. “The Toshiba e-STUDIO2100c/3100c series is a top quality departmental color solution combining a compact footprint, high quality output and flexible workflow capabilities within a budget.”
Other features praised by BERTL analysts include:
- Very high image quality;
- Ability to handle heavy weight paper stocks through all main paper sources;
- Option of low cost embedded Fiery® controller or high powered floor standing Fiery controller; and
- User-friendly replacement unit design.
The e-STUDIO2100c and 3100c are full-color copiers, printers and scanners that boast high-volume, high-speed color, and exceptional image quality in one multifunctional network system. An affordable price tag makes both devices ideal for a wide variety of mixed workflow environments, including mid- to high-volume business users, print-for-pay facilities and graphics professionals.
Using Toshiba’s revolutionary color imaging technology and the latest Fiery technology, the e-STUDIO2100c/3100c series offers vibrant 21 and 31 full-color copies and prints per minute respectively. Both models feature monochrome print and copy speeds of 31 pages per minute. When copying, graphics level image quality is achieved with superior 9,600 x 600 dpi resolution.
