Toshiba Creates Certified HP Web Jetadmin Plug-in Software to Allow Select e-STUDIO™ MFPs to be Remotely Managed

Toshiba America Business Solutions Inc. (TABS) today announced that it has developed certified "plug-ins" for HP Web Jetadmin software, making select Toshiba e-STUDIO™ multifunction products (MFPs) compatible with HP Web Jetadmin version 7.8.
Toshiba e-STUDIO devices will be supported on the latest version of HP Web Jetadmin via the certified plug-in, enabling improved manageability of Toshiba e-STUDIO devices through HP Web Jetadmin’s simple user interface and improved multi-user performance. HP Web Jetadmin is a scaleable software for remotely installing, configuring and managing a wide variety of HP and non-HP network peripherals, using only a standard Web browser.
“Customer demand led us to develop a certified HP Web Jetadmin plug-in for Toshiba’s MFPs,” said Steve Rhorer, director of Product Marketing, TABS. “Customers who already have, or plan to, standardize on HP Web Jetadmin software can now seamlessly integrate their networked Toshiba MFPs with other systems to more efficiently manage their fleet of devices.”
Once the certified plug-in is installed, IT personnel can easily manage networked Toshiba e-BRIDGE MFPs and other supported printers with HP Web Jetadmin. Since the certified plug-in integrates into the user interface for HP Web Jetadmin, there is essentially no learning curve for individuals who are familiar with the technology. This decreases IT time spent managing the enterprise printing and imaging environment.
Other key features of the Toshiba plug-in for HP Web Jetadmin software include:
- Remote device management of both connected MFPs and printers
- Real time status of Toshiba e-BRIDGE MFPs on the network
- Graphical icon displaying installed options and status
- Display of counter information
- Basic device configuration
- Direct link to Top Access, Toshiba’s management utility for advanced network/configuration settings
The Toshiba plug-in for HP Web Jetadmin currently supports Toshiba’s e-STUDIO520/600/720/850 series, e-STUDIO281c/351c/451c series, e-STUDIO350/450 series, e-STUDIO200L/230/280 series and e-STUDIO3511/4511 series.
Certified Toshiba plug-in software for HP Web Jetadmin is now being offered at no cost through Toshiba’s nationwide network of dealers. HP Web Jetadmin software can be downloaded at www.hp.com/go/webjetadmin.
