IRVINE , California   ( Aug 10, 2006 ) :

Toshiba America Business Solutions Inc. (TABS) today announced that its e-STUDIO202L, 232, 282, 352 and 452 multifunction products (MFPs) each have received a 4-Star Award from Business Equipment Research and Test Laboratories (BERTL™). The esteemed awards also come with BERTL’s “Highly Recommended” rating, which is strictly reserved for those devices that deliver a range of business-critical features and functions that are above average and provide potential buyers with a good return on investment.

“We are always very proud to earn the praise of well respected testing labs such as BERTL,” said Steve Rhorer, vice president, Marketing, TABS. “The 4-Star Award validates Toshiba’s industry leadership and our ongoing commitment to developing superior products that deliver quality and value for our customers.”

BERTL, one of the leading independent test labs, publishes product evaluation reviews on several hundred copiers, printers, fax, multifunctional, color and production devices every year. Out of these hundreds of devices, only a small number qualify for the highly prestigious 4-Star Award. In May, BERTL also awarded the e-STUDIO202L, 232 and 282 with a BERTL’s Best Award in the Best 20 to 29 PPM Monochrome Office MFP category

According to BERTL analysts, the five award-winning Toshiba MFPs “offer a great bang for the buck to the typical front office workgroup or small business buyer. They deliver diverse document handling capabilities within the compact footprint that is so important to a small business location. Important items for the front office include paper handling, print quality, scanned image quality, security, and administration tools.”
