IRVINE , California   ( Aug 10, 2006 ) :

Toshiba America Business Solutions Inc. (TABS) today launched the e-STUDIO™360CP, a cost-effective business color printer with outstanding performance, sharp image quality, standard network printing and numerous finishing options. Ideal for corporate environments that have high volume color workgroups with ledger printing needs, the e-STUDIO360CP enables companies to introduce color into the workplace at an affordable price, without sacrificing speed or quality.

“As Toshiba’s fastest and most productive color printer, the e-STUDIO360CP expands our reach into new market arenas and reinforces our total solutions strategy,” said Kay Fernandez, director, Product and Solutions Marketing. “Corporations looking to affordably introduce color into their printing environments will not have to forgo professional quality images with the e-STUDIO360CP.”

Exceptional Performance and Image Quality

The Toshiba e-STUDIO360CP is a 32 page-per-minute (PPM) full color and 36-PPM monochrome printer. With a powerful 1 GHz processor and 256 MB of standard RAM, the e-STUDIO360CP features a first page out time of only 13.5 seconds in color and 9.5 seconds in monochrome. This results in increased productivity and efficiency due to less time spent waiting for print jobs.

Not only does the e-STUDIO360CP provide speed and reliability, but it also produces excellent image quality. With its 2,400 dpi image quality mode, the e-STUDIO360CP uses enhanced halftone-screening methods for improved quality over the standard 600 dpi output. This feature not only produces excellent images, but also reduces the time to print by using less memory for faster processing. In addition, an automatic color correction control system produces clean, sharp text with solid, bright colors.

Network Compatibility

To meet the growing demand for connectivity in the business environment, the e-STUDIO360CP comes standard with a 10/100BaseT network interface, USB and Parallel connection. In addition, a wireless (Wi-Fi) option makes it quick and easy for mobile users to gain access to printers whenever necessary without having to worry about cumbersome wires or locating an open network connection or printer cable.

The e-STUDIO360CP is compatible with all major network operating systems, including Windows 98 SE, NT4.0, 2000, ME, XP, Novell Netware 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, UNIX, OS/400, and Mac O/S 9.x, 10.2 or later.

Range of Paper Handling Features

With many office environments printing a wide variety of documents that require a professional look and feel, including charts, graphs, sales presentations and marketing collateral, comes the need for printing on special paper stocks. With the e-STUDIO360CP, users have the ability to print on transparencies, envelopes, labels and card stock up to 102-pound index. The e-STUDIO360CP also can handle letter, legal and ledger paper, and comes standard with one 550-sheet drawer and one 100-sheet multipurpose tray.

Other optional paper handling features include a 550-sheet drawer, a 3,000-sheet larger capacity feeder, duplexing and an 1,100-sheet finisher that offers staple and 3-hole punch capabilities for letter documents, equating to a total paper capacity of 5,300 sheets.

Long Life Consumables

Along with a robust monthly duty cycle of up to 200,000 pages per month, the e-STUDIO360CP offers a long toner life with 8,000-yield starter cartridges for both black and color toner, which means users don’t have to worry about constantly replacing supplies. For added convenience, replacement cartridges are available in 14,000-yield for color and 15,000-yield for black.

In addition, Toshiba’s new ColorCare technology allows users to save toner consumption by enabling IT administrators to determine who is authorized to print in color based on their network log-in and user ID. Other color saving features include black and white lock mode, custom mono-only driver, color saver, color print permission, toner saver mode and a coverage estimator.

Best of all, maintenance and operation of the e-STUDIO360CP are completely hassle-free. The printer features easy-to-use front-loading toner cartridges and drums that are user-replaceable, thus reducing downtime and increasing office productivity.

The e-STUDIO360CP is now available through Toshiba’s nationwide network of dealers for a suggested list price of $3,549.
