TOSHIBA AMERICA BUSINESS SOLUTIONS INC. OFFERS NET-READY FUNCTIONALITY AND ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY DESIGN WITH e-STUDIO™202L/232/282 SERIES
New MFP Series Offers Range of Features and Affordable Price for Small- to Mid-Sized Workgroups
IRVINE , California ( Jan 24, 2006 ) :
Toshiba America Business Solutions Inc. (TABS) today introduced its new generation of Net-Ready products with the launch of the e-STUDIO™202L/232/282 multifunction product (MFP) series. With a build-to-order design, several paper handling options, e-BRIDGE technology and environmentally friendly features, the e-STUDIO202L/232/282 series offers value, flexibility and functionality.
“Toshiba strives to offer the widest possible range of products to satisfy every customers’ needs,” said Kay Fernandez, director, Product Marketing for TABS. “The e-STUDIO202L/232/282 series’ versatile multifunction capabilities and modular architecture allow users to incorporate it into numerous business processes and document management workflows.”
Impressive Productivity and Paper Handling Features
With output speeds of 20, 23, and 28 pages-per-minute respectively, the e-STUDIO202L, 232, and 282 have been specifically designed for small- to medium-sized workgroups that produce between 64,000 and 90,000 copies per month. The series features a 333MHz processor and 2400 x 600 dpi resolution, with the e-STUDIO232 and 282 also offering standard trayless duplexing, two large 550-sheet cassettes and an additional 100-sheet stack feed bypass to accommodate special and heavier stock papers, as well as envelopes. The e-STUDIO202L offers optional duplexing and one 550-sheet cassette.
The e-STUDIO202L/232/282 saves time by providing numerous document-finishing options, including a single-position finisher, or an optional multi-position stapling finisher with saddle stitch capabilities and optional hole punch. The multi-position stapling finisher gives end users the flexibility to staple up to three separate positions and accommodates different paper sizes and document types. The series also comes standard with an alternation feature, which alternates finished sets in a crosswise and lengthwise direction. Toshiba has added two other low-cost finishing options with an offset catch tray that jogs multiple sets, or a job separator option, to segregate copy, print and fax jobs.
Next Generation Net-Ready and e-BRIDGE Technology
Incorporating Toshiba’s Net-Ready technology, Toshiba has built networking capabilities into the core design of the e-STUDIO202L/232/282 series, delivering an Internet-ready, mobile/wireless-ready, and solution-ready device. Toshiba’s Net-Ready strategy supports communication and integration of Toshiba MFPs seamlessly into many existing business document workflows and IT infrastructures.
Integral to the Net-Ready architecture is Toshiba’s next-generation e-BRIDGE hardware platform. E-BRIDGE technology integrates copy, print, scan, fax and other networking capabilities in one single board within the device. This unified design shares system resources to control multiple functions and efficiently process information. The consolidation or “bridge” between hardware components offers reduced hardware costs, while improving features and functionality.
Environmentally Friendly Design
Among the many technological enhancements built into the e-STUDIO202L/232/282 series is an environmentally friendly design. The e-STUDIO202L/232/282 series features recycling of 100 percent of its toner. Without any waste toner to dispose of, the impact on the environment is minimal, and user downtime is reduced. The e-STUDIO202L/232/282 also is Energy Star compliant, Lead-free, Halogen-free, Chromium (VI)-free, Reduction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) compliant, and Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) compliant.
Large Touch Screen Control Panel
For complete ease of use, Toshiba has included a large touch screen control panel on the e-STUDIO202L/232/282 series. The control panel incorporates large buttons for easy access to commonly used features, as well as improved graphics and numerous one-touch buttons for preprogrammed settings. The design of the control panel benefits users by decreasing the number of keystrokes required when making a selection, and the layout offers more space between icons so users do not accidentally select the wrong feature. In addition to making the device easy to operate, the e-STUDIO202L/232/282 control panel can be tilted up to a 45-degree angle, increasing ease of use for physically challenged individuals and flexibility in various light sources that may make it more difficult to read the LCD screen.
The e-STUDIO202L/232/282, as with all e-STUDIO MFPs, is eCopy Ready, signifying that customers can use eCopy software to connect their organization's e-mail and other networked applications for low-cost, easy, instantaneous distribution, and management of scanned documents. The e-STUDIO202L/232/282 series is now available through Toshiba’s nationwide network of dealers for suggested list prices of $3,895, $5,650 and $7,050 respectively.
