Toshiba America Business Solutions Inc. (TABS) today announced that three of its e-STUDIOä multifunction products (MFPs) have received the prestigious "Pick of the Year" award from Buyers Laboratory Inc. (BLI), a leading independent office equipment testing laboratory. Toshiba products recognized include the e-STUDIO282, which was awarded a BLI “Pick” as an “Outstanding Multifunctional Imaging System” in the Segment 2 category; the e-STUDIO352, which was honored with a “Pick” award in the Segment 3 category; and the e-STUDIO850, a “Pick” in the Segment 5 category.
Announced twice each year, BLI’s “Pick of the Year” awards acknowledge the very best overall performers in the company's rigorous lab testing in their respective segments. BLI's experienced analysts base their selections on a wide range of performance factors, including reliability, image quality, ease of use, productivity and a host of network connectivity attributes.

e-STUDIO282: Unique Features for Ease of Use
The 28 page-per-minute (ppm) Toshiba e-STUDIO282, a BLI “Pick” in the Segment 2 category, stood out from its competitors as a result of its strong feature set. “Its large touch-screen display allows for very good ease of use, its print drivers are excellent and it's one of only a few models in this range to be offered with an optional booklet finisher,” said BLI Associate Editor George Mikolay.
e-STUDIO352: Most Reliable in Category
The e-STUDIO352 received a “Pick” award in the Segment 3 category. At 35 ppm, the e-STUDIO352 gave a similarly strong performance in the tests. “This model holds the record as the most reliable Segment 3 model tested to date,” noted BLI Managing Editor Daria Hoffman.
e-STUDIO850: Performance and Price Leader
Excellent value and superior productivity were just a few of the strengths that earned the 85 ppm e-STUDIO850 its place as a “Pick” winner in the Segment 5 category. “Not only did the e-STUDIO850 earn positive ratings in every category evaluated, but its fully configured price is among the lowest of models in this speed range,” said Mikolay.
