All-in-One Net-Ready Architecture and the Latest e-BRIDGE Technology

Incorporating Toshiba’s Net-Ready technology, Toshiba has built networking capabilities into the core design of the e-STUDIO2500c/3500c series, delivering an out of the box copy, print, scan and solution-ready device. Toshiba’s Net-Ready strategy supports communication and integration of Toshiba MFPs seamlessly into many existing business document workflows and IT infrastructures.

Integral to the Net-Ready architecture is Toshiba’s next-generation e-BRIDGE hardware platform. The e-STUDIO2500c/3500c series is Toshiba’s first single-pass color product to incorporate the company’s second-generation e-BRIDGE technology. E-BRIDGE integrates copy, print, scan, fax and other networking capabilities in one single board within the device. This unified design shares system resources to control multiple functions and efficiently process information.

Full Range of Security Features

Recognizing the importance of protecting confidential company and customer data, Toshiba has included a comprehensive set of security features on the e-STUDIO2500c/3500c series. Up to 1000 department codes and 10,000 user codes can be programmed into the device to specify accessible functions and set limitations for both monochrome and color printing, scanning, and copying.

The e-STUDIO2500c/3500c series also touts standard 128-bit encryption. This feature encrypts all copy, print, fax and scan data as it is written to the system’s hard disk drive (HDD), rendering any data on the HDD useless if separated from the system. Furthermore, an optional Disk Data Overwrite Kit completely overwrites all temporary information on the hard drive after every job. In addition, the disk is automatically cleared immediately after the device is done using the information after every job, preventing the data from being recovered by unauthorized users.

Other security features offered by the e-STUDIO2500c/3500c series include Private Print, requiring users to input a password to initiate their printout, and Job Log, tracking print, copy, fax, and scan jobs with detailed information including user, date, time, number of pages, type of paper, and type of job.

Exceptional Ease of Use

Designed to make even the most seemingly complex copy jobs effortless, the ergonomically designed control panel on the e-STUDIO2500c and 3500c includes one touch access keys and a tilting half VGA color control panel to make it easier to see in glare and poor lighting conditions. Additionally, the 508-compliant control panel contains large, easy-to-read text and a dynamic interactive copier diagram that displays paper configurations and copier status.

As Toshiba’s first Easily Replaceable Unit (ERU) service-based product, low total cost of ownership is achieved with long life consumables and easy-to-replace service modules. The energy efficient e-STUDIO2500c/3500c series also is Energy Star compliant and boasts Auto Energy Saver, Auto Sleep, and Weekly Timer modes.

The e-STUDIO2500c/3500c series, as with all e-STUDIO MFPs, is eCopy Ready, signifying that customers can use eCopy software to connect their organization's e-mail and other networked applications for low-cost, easy, instantaneous distribution, and management of scanned documents. The e-STUDIO2500c and 3500c will be available in mid-June through Toshiba’s nationwide network of dealers. Pricing has not yet been determined.
