TOSHIBA AMERICA BUSINESS SOLUTIONS INC. ANNOUNCES NEW VERSION OF DOCFORM SOFTWARE FOR ADVANCED CREATION OF PERSONALIZED PRINT AND ELECTRONIC BUSINESS DOCUMENTS
Software Allows Dealers to Help Differentiate Toshiba Multifunction Products in the Marketplace and Offer Expanded Functionality to Customers
IRVINE , California ( Dec 05, 2007 ) :
Toshiba America Business Solutions Inc. (TABS) today announced the availability of a new version of DocForm™, a software application for the creation of personalized print and electronic business documents. DocForm Version 5.0, working with Toshiba’s e-STUDIO® multifunction products (MFPs), offers dynamic design, creation and real-time delivery of personalized electronic business documents.
DocForm, an advanced variable data application, allows the creation of all types of personalized print and electronic documents such as contracts, forms, marketing materials, mailers, flyers and other promotional items. The software can be accessed locally, remotely or over the Internet and is designed for multiple industries including banking, healthcare, education, real estate, insurance, government, and education.
“As a leader in product innovation, we strive to equip our dealers with new solutions that will help to differentiate themselves and Toshiba in the marketplace,” said Steve Rhorer, vice president, Marketing, TABS. “Powerful technology like DocForm is easy to learn, adaptable to many industries, and is a huge value-add for customers with demanding variable data and personalized printing needs.”
DocForm V5.0 adds several new features to the already robust feature-set, including fully integrated postal certification that features Zip+4®, CASS™ (Coding Accuracy Support System) and PAVE™ (Presort Accuracy, Validation and Evaluation) postal certification modules. These new features not only save end-users money, but allow quick and seamless sorting, verification and change of address data updates for the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
DocForm also features dual user interfaces – print shop and advanced interface. This allows users to select the interface that most closely matches the type of project they are designing. The print shop interface allows for the easy and rapid setup of one-off personalization projects, while the advanced interface provides additional functions for more complex projects.
DocForm allows customers to create newsletters, customer letters and other correspondences in Microsoft® Word™ and import them into DocForm as a formatted RTF file for mass production jobs. Another added benefit of this new version is the ability to originate electronic forms and documents (eForms and eDocuments) and send to a remote location such as an off-site office, dealer site or salesperson in the field. The eForm or eDocument can then be edited, signed and routed over the company network or Internet to headquarters for processing. This automated processing reduces costs, shortens processing time and streamlines efficiency for companies with multiple offices and remote staff.
DocForm is now available through Toshiba’s nationwide network of dealers. To find an authorized dealer in your area, please call 800-GO-TOSHIBA or visit the TABS Web site at www.copiers.toshiba.com.
