TOSHIBA CLASSIC SURPASSES $10 MILLION IN CHARITABLE DONATIONS IN 10 YEARS

Toshiba America Business Solutions Inc. Contributes to Record Fundraising for Largest Charity Event on PGA Champions Tour

IRVINE , California   ( Mar 28, 2007 ) :

Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc. (TABS) today announced that the Toshiba Classic, the largest charity fundraising event on the PGA Champions Tour, exceeded tournament expectations by raising more than $10 million in charitable proceeds over the past 10 years. Held at The Newport Beach Country Club March 5-11, TABS is one of the leading sponsors of the tournament that hit an all-time donation record of $1.31 million raised for charity in 2007 – the eighth consecutive year that the Toshiba Classic cracked the $1 million mark.

“The success of the Toshiba Classic is due to the commitment to charity and community displayed by Toshiba America Inc. and its various divisions including TABS, the hard work from the people at Hoag Hospital and the tireless efforts and dedication of Hank Adler, our longtime tournament chairman,” said Jeff Purser, tournament director, Toshiba Classic. “You can’t raise $10 million for charity without the kind of partners we’ve been fortunate enough to have over the last 10 years.”

“TABS is extremely proud to be intimately aligned with an event like the Toshiba Classic that has raised over $10 million to benefit more than 20 different Orange County charities over the past 10 years,” said Rick Taylor, president and chief executive officer, TABS. “We look forward to continually supporting the community through fundraising events such as the Toshiba Classic, and we’re excited to see this event remain the charitable leader on the PGA Champions Tour for many years to come.”

PGA Champions Tour president, Rick George, presented a $10,000 donation to the Toshiba Classic on behalf of the PGA Tour. “Once again, Toshiba America, in partnership with Hoag Hospital, has demonstrated why they are ‘Champions of Charity’ and ‘Champions of the Community’ in surpassing their announced goal,” said George. “We are fortunate to have many fine events on the Champions Tour contributing substantial amounts to charity each year that benefit many organizations and countless individuals. To have the Toshiba Classic attain this milestone of $10 million in 10 years is both gratifying and humbling for all of us associated with the Champions Tour.”

Over the years, funds raised have made a significant impact on the Southern California local community. The primary beneficiary of the tournament is Hoag Memorial Presbyterian Hospital in Orange County, Calif., a nationally acclaimed hospital that brings world-class healthcare to the community. These remarkable charitable accomplishments are a testament to the generous support of the Toshiba Classic's sponsors and the tireless effort of 1,000 dedicated tournament volunteers.

The Toshiba Classic is widely acknowledged as one of the most challenging tournaments on the PGA Classic Tour. More than 80,000 people attended the 2007 Toshiba Classic, including world-class champions Fuzzy Zoeller, Jay Haas, Dave Stockton and Brad Bryant.
