Prestigious Honor Singles Out Ranko S.A. for Exceptional Sales and Promotion of Toshiba Products and Services

Toshiba America Business Solutions Inc. (TABS) proudly announced today that Ranko S.A has earned Toshiba’s 2007 “International Distributor of the Year” award.  Presented to Ranko S.A. President Rodolfo Paskvan and his team at the 2008 National Dealer Meeting, held March 3 through 5 at the Four Seasons Resort Aviara in North San Diego, Calif., this prominent honor recognizes the Buenos Aries, Argentina-based Ranko S.A. as the distributor that best demonstrated continued and consistent sales success, and outstanding dealer support and satisfaction, throughout the previous year in the international marketplace.

History:

The president of Ranko, S.A., Mr. Rodolfo Paskvan, began his commercial activities in the city of Santa Fe, Argentina, in 1980 as an official dealer of 3M brand copiers.

In 1991 he moved to Buenos Aires and acquired the building in Terrada Street, where his company is still located, and began to import Toshiba’s devices and supplies to serve a market that was not satisfactorily covered by the competing companies in the sector.

In 1994 Toshiba America named Ranko as the official distributor of its line of copiers and faxes for Argentina.  After this designation, Ranko began to develop a network of retail distributors throughout the country.

By the end of 1995, Ranko had more than 50 distributors.  Ranko’s work in positioning Toshiba’s products in the market was so successful that by 1996 they had become the third largest importers of copiers in Argentina.

In 1997 the company opened the Large Accounts Division to promote sales to corporate accounts through leasing agreements, and established a Service of Attention to Clients (SAC) Department composed of highly qualified engineers and technicians to provide excellent customer service.

Currently, Ranko has more than 80 distributors throughout the Country and an impressive portfolio of more than 200 corporate accounts.  The company has 85 direct employees and total annual revenue of USD$40,000,000 including taxes.
