TOSHIBA AMERICA BUSINESS SOLUTIONS INC. CONFIRMS EXTENDED PRINT CAPACITY WITH TOSHIBA-MANUFACTERED SUPPLIES
QualityLogic Report Shows Genuine Toshiba Printing Supplies Produce More Printed Pages Overall Than Leading OEM-Compatible Brand
IRVINE , California ( Jan 16, 2008 ) :
In the battle to reduce unforeseen office costs in today’s competitive business environment, Toshiba America Business Solutions Inc. (TABS) today announced the results of a comprehensive certified page-yield test that proves genuine Toshiba printing supplies produce significantly more pages-per-cartridge when compared to the leading OEM-compatible toner supplies. The report, compiled by QualityLogic, reveals that the e-STUDIO202L multifunction product (MFP) produced up to 43 percent more printed pages when authentic Toshiba printing supplies were used in a side-by-side comparison. Additionally, the e-STUDIO520 also out-produced the same OEM-compatible toner brand by 28 percent in the same yield test. As a result, businesses not using genuine Toshiba printing supplies for new and existing e-STUDIO print fleets could, on average, be purchasing considerably more remanufactured cartridges than required for the same print volume.
“Toshiba has placed the same priority in the development of our printing supplies as the actual hardware and, as a result, the quality and compatibility of genuine printing supplies cannot be matched by an imitation product,” said Thomas H. Walter, director, Aftermarket Sales, Marketing and Operations, TABS. “The QualityLogic report shows the true cost of these discounted supplies, proving in the end, that a short-term value rarely is a value at all.”
QualityLogic, one of the industry’s leading and most respected independent testing companies, examined overall page production for both Toshiba printing supplies and the leading brand of aftermarket monochrome toner cartridges with two different models of Toshiba’s award-winning e-STUDIO MFPs, using the internationally recognized ISO/IEC19752 yield tests. The e-STUDIO202L and e-STUDIO520 MFPs used in the tests were supplied by TABS, and the consumables were acquired independently by QualityLogic.
