How to Identify Genuine Toshiba Supplies

At Toshiba, we’re working hard to protect our customers from potentially harmful counterfeit supplies. In the end, these counterfeits can cost you money and perform poorly. Please beware and be wise when ordering supplies for your copiers, printers, fax machines and MFPs.

There are five key areas where you can distinguish between genuine TOSHIBA toner cartridges and counterfeit:

• Label
• Logo
• Embossment
• Cap
• Lot Number

 Look for security barcodes added to the packaging and product (starting May 2009):

Features of the security label include traceable bar code, hologram and web address to verify this product is genuine.

Look at the differences between the TOSHIBA logo and counterfeit logo.

Look for the embossment that distinguishes genuine toners from counterfeits.

Look at the toner cap closely and you can tell the genuine from counterfeit.

All genuine Toshiba toners have a stamped lot number. If there is no lot number, it’s not genuine Toshiba.
